Information on the center:

·      The Crisis Detox Center is the only 24 hour sub-acute detox center in a sixty mile radius

·      It is a 17 bed facility… 12 detox beds for those under the influence of alcohol and 5 crisis beds for people suffering from acute crisis

·      The two main groups serviced through the center are college students and homeless

During the time of this project, school wide emails were sent out explaining the project, the Detox center, and asked for clothing donations. The Nursing Club has an email account that can be utilized for emailing. We then set up drop-off boxes for collecting the clothing at different places around the campus. I would empty the boxes every few weeks, depending how full they would be. You then have to drop the clothing collected off at the Crisis Detox Center in St. Cloud. If further advertising is wanted, such as setting up posters, you need to talk to student activities and leadership development. You can make this project go for as short or as long as you would like!
