Poems: any length may be submitted, but poems shorter than 2 pages in length are more likely to be accepted for publication. |

Prose: up to 2,000 words |
|
Visual art: digital format submitted by email is preferred, but slides and photographs are also acceptable |

No manuscripts, slides, or photographs will be returned. |
|
Simultaneous submissions are acceptable. |
|
No more than five (5) submissions in any one category. |
|
All non-electronic submissions should include a SASE for results. |
Each submission should be typed on white standard size paper with no name on it. The name and address should appear on a separate sheet with a list of the titles of works submitted by the author as well as his or her contact information.

Submissions are accepted August-December. The deadline is January 1 for spring publication. The reading/judging period between late November and February. Results will be sent by May. Submissions sent after the judging period concludes will be retained for consideration in the following year's publication.
Authors whose work is accepted receive one free copy of the magazine.
No subscriptions are available, but a sample copy can be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped manila envelope and $6 for postage and handling. Please make checks payable to Studio One. Due to a small print run, Studio One may be unable to provide multiple copies. To make an inquiry about availability, please send questions to studio1@csbsju.edu.
